Project Sarala*

According to the Indian government's AIDS organization and National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) 2009:

Child and Women Abuse Studies Unit (CWASU) estimates that 10 million prostitutes live in India.

INK Foundation identifies women who are living a life of prostitution, slavery, and infected with HIV/AIDS. Project Sarala is designed to empower those women who opt out of a life of prostitution and choose an honorable lifestyle instead. In order to rehabilitate rescued individuals, we evolve a plan to feed, cloth, heal, educate, counsel, train, and release them into society with a positive determination to life of honor and dignity.

Understanding that every individual is unique, made in the image of God, and has an individual destiny to fulfill. We teach them that they are not a product of their past and help them reach their glorious destiny in Jesus Christ.

As part of our rehabilitation program, we create an individualized plan. We provide vocational training and start-up finance to those individuals who are capable of lifting themselves out of poverty if given access to financial resources.
